During this class, you will learn the basics of torchworking with borosilicate glass while making beautiful art to take home. Each student will learn to make items like suncatchers, pendants, marbles, and small sculptures.
In this workshop, Kylee will teach students the basics of working with borosilicate glass while learning how to make beads on a solid metal mandrel.
In this torchwork class, you will learn how to use and operate a glass torch while creating glass pendants and marbles out of borosilicate glass.
Join Kylee Koenig in a group torchwork class learning how to make your own magnets and marbles out of borosilicate glass. Two-person group class for up to six groups. Singles can sign up for the same price. Kids 9+ to adults.

This one day workshop will focus on the basics of applying gold and silver to solid glass, a technique known as ‘fuming.' The process will be covered step by step beginning with initial application, flame atmosphere and effects as well as learning differences in colors that can be achieved. Kylee will teach students how to utilize this technique while also incorporating the use of a pin frog to create air trap or ‘sea urchin' pendants and marbles with borosilicate glass.

Learn the magical process of how to encase a jellyfish suspended inside pendants and marbles. Kylee will conduct several demonstrations showing different variations that can be accomplished while helping each student be successful in creating their own style of jellyfish. This technique will be taught step by step beginning with stringer application, flame atmosphere and how to use heat and gravity to manipulate a 3D jellyfish with borosilicate glass. Students will also learn how to use the marble mold, and different color applications to create decorative patterns on the back of the marble or pendant giving the creature an underwater environment.

Using only borosilicate glass this one-day workshop will focus on the basics of working with boro while learning how to make beads on a solid metal mandrel. Borosilicate glass lends well to jewelry-making because of its strength and durability. Kylee will teach students how to make consistent pairs / sets of beads, and focal beads, utilizing various techniques. Processes that will be covered are torch settings, mandrel prep, layering colors, stringer use, encasing air bubbles, annealing, and cleaning beads. This class makes for a perfect introduction to flameworking with borosilicate glass, as well as a transition from soft glass to boro.

In this workshop you will learn how to create miniature hollow/blown forms. With the use of small borosilicate tubing, each student will learn how to make mini jars, vases, perfume bottles, terrariums, and ornaments. Kylee will teach students techniques that simplify the blowing process for small-scale and different methods of color application (No blow hose or point pulling required) This class is perfect for students with boro torch experience, looking to explore glass blowing on a small scale.
